I left Malawi in May. My main job was updating the ABC electric security fence. Weather was absolutely perfect. This is a GREAT place to visit ! Joan has been enjoying her job immensely. She is principal at ABC Christian Academy where there are 280 students and 50 staff. She leaves in late June, and we are looking for a house near Tony & Family. Stopover in South Africa

On our overnight stopover on the way here we gained a new honest friend: SIM missionary, RJ Kastner. He showed me a paper which I had to have! When I gave him a dollar for it, he said I paid 200 times more than it was worth !

A Visit to the Cape

What is your first clue that we enjoyed our visit with Tony & Julia & Girls ?

Friday, October 17, 2008

We enjoyed a visit in Tony & Julia's home.

Cape Girardeau is the home town of Rush Limbaugh,

AND of our son and family !

We love them so much that we bought a house just down the street from them, so now we're trying to sell our house in Indiana... see: sharphome.com -- ID = INBCC

AND: Zillow.com; ID = 77017019

Good things always seem to be happening to missionaries;

however, the Lord also carries us through tough spots in order to smooth off our sharp edges...

see Psalm 68.19.

New Grandchild: Marcie Mae Loken

Youngest grandchild is a year old already !

Renting out our house while we were in Africa worked out well for us.

Living in Lilongwe, Malawi, was a GREAT experience.

Everyone should visit Liberia and Malawi.

Repairing the Electric Fence Alarms

The three pairs of fence alarms were working on the repair bench, and one pair was installed before we headed back to the USA for five weeks. Mr Macleod Munthali is the radio station manager, and he will install the rest of the alarms.

We have enjoyed our stay in Malawi. We feel happy and useful and BUSY, but thanks to Tony & Julia, we are on a five-week "cruise" in the USA. We had promised to help Julia after the arrival of Grandchild Three.
